Banquettes

I absolutely LOVE banquettes.
If I could design my dream home, it would most certainly have a banquette…an upholstered bench and intimate table in the corner of the kitchen.

    Good Morning Shari,
    Picture #2 was actually one of the inspirations for my banquet. I will post pics of mine as soon as I am back on my computer with all of my pictures! I still need to add more pillows, etc. It is the third time we have painted the kitchen in 6 years since our remodel. There are plenty of things I wish we could have done or done differently-but $$ is always the issue!

    This is my first time leaving a comment even though I've been visiting for sometime now. I also love banquettes!! They're very practical and don't take up alot of space in a small eating area. I would chose any of these lovely nooks. TFS! Sheila

    Hi Shari,
    The first picture with the black/cream and toile theme, is my absolute all-time favorite eating area. I love that!! I have that page dog-eared and look at it from time to time, just to dream.(sigh)

    And, I agree with you about the banquette. I always wait for a booth when we go out for dinner.

    Hi Shari. I have that book, too. Isn't it marvelous? I look at the pictures, then I look at the rooms in my house, and start to see a transformation in my mind. And you are actually doing it! Your "dream" home is materializing, one room at a time! BH&G doesn't have anything on you!

    Lovely pictures. My Mom and Dad had to have a booth in their home since their kitchen was so tiny and I remember always thinking how cozy it felt.
